Autumn Ameye, MA, LLPC

CLINICAL THERAPIST

(she/her/honey)

bibliotherapist, plant/animal mom, outdoor enthusiast

A graduate of Wayne State University, Autumn received her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling after going through Grand Valley State University’s Psychology program, and earning a certificate in Intercultural Competence. Before becoming a therapist, she gained valuable experience in working in the worlds of ABA as a behavior technician, crisis intervention, and advocating for victims of crime.

As a licensed counselor, Autumn utilizes a wide range of therapeutic modalities, gravitating towards modalities rooted in mindfulness including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Autumn specializes in working with those exploring and healing from past trauma and experiences, those experiencing major life transitions, those with high functioning anxiety, and working with couples.

At the core of her work is a deep commitment to helping every client—no matter what they’re facing—grow into a more self-aware, compassionate caregiver to themselves while navigating life’s challenges.

In her free time, Autumn is busy valuing the great outdoors with her fiancé and their pup, loving animals, finding a variety of ways to be physically active with her people, turning balls of yarn into blankets, and reading her many, many books.
