Honey Mental Health Community Care Fund
Supporting parents and staff impacted by the Temple Israel attack
“Trauma is your nervous system’s response to a real or perceived threat to your emotional or physical well-being — or to someone, something, or someplace you love.”
Our community experienced something deeply frightening and heartbreaking.
For many families, parents, children and staff connected to Temple Israel, the emotional impact of this event will unfold over time.
As a local mental health practice, and as members of this community ourselves, Honey Mental Health has created a $3,600 Community Care Fund to help provide therapy, mental health medication, and emotional support groups for those impacted.
Our goal is simple: to make sure that anyone who needs support can access it.
How the Community Care Fund Can Help
The Honey Community Care Fund is available to help cover the cost of mental health services for those impacted by the Temple Israel incident.
This may include:
Individual or couples therapy sessions
Short-term stabilization and mental health support after traumatic events
Mental Health Medication evaluation and prescription support
Support navigating difficult conversations with children
Support groups both virtual and in-person in Ferndale
Honey Mental Health accepts most major insurance plans, and this fund can help cover:
Insurance copays or deductibles
Services for individuals not using insurance
Services for individuals who do not currently have insurance
Our team will work with you to determine how the fund can best support your care.
