Helena Reece, MA, LPC

CLINICAL THERAPIST

(she/her/honey)

powerlifter, coffee lover, military spouse

Helena earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas at Dallas. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), including both basic and advanced protocols, and is currently completing the University of Michigan's Sex Therapy & Sexuality Education Program. Additionally, she holds specialized training in Adlerian Play Therapy and family play therapy and has attended multiple trainings to support military personnel and their families.

Helena’s journey into mental health was shaped by her experience of becoming a mother at 16, giving her a unique understanding of the joys and challenges of parenting. She began her career working with children and families, and quickly saw how much of the healing process begins with supporting parents—especially those navigating complex identities and systems. Helena is also deeply committed to practicing cultural humility, recognizing systemic barriers, and honoring the strengths within communities of color. As a parent in a blended family with neurodivergent, biracial children, Helena brings both lived experience and professional training to her work. She holds her clients’ stories with deep respect and feels honored to share space with the wisdom they bring into the therapeutic process.

A mom of two, and fur mom to two dogs and a cat, Helena enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her kiddos, caring for her pets, and finding moments of joy in the unpredictable journey of parenting.
