Matt Brittsan, MA, LPC

CLINICAL THERAPIST

married to his high school sweetheart, loves all things fantasy, woodworker

A graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary and a Gottman Level 1 certified couples therapist, Matt’s clinical work focuses on maternal and paternal mental health; Supporting individuals and couples from pre-conception through postpartum and beyond. In addition to perinatal work, Matt has experience working with aggressive behaviors, complex trauma, and sexual trauma, bringing a steady and structured approach to clients navigating high-conflict or high-intensity dynamics. Known for his calm, grounding presence, Matt brings steadiness and warmth into the therapy space with a value of honesty and balance, making room for both the beauty and difficulty of parenthood.

His passion for working with parents began early in his clinical career and deepened through his own experience of becoming a father. He understands both professionally and personally how isolating, overwhelming, and complex this season of life can be, especially when the reality of parenting doesn't match the expectation. He is particularly focused on struggles in the perinatal journey that may feel overlooked.

Matt holds a steady, nonjudgmental space where clients can process trauma, manage behavioral patterns, strengthen relationships, and build resilience. He values honest conversations about both the joys and the strains that come with raising children and genuinely roots for his clients to achieve their goals.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys reading, weightlifting, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and their neuro-spicy 4 year old.
